Ichcha Mrityu- Leave your Body when you Desire
What is it all about?
Ichcha mrityu here does not refer to a suicide, and is not at all related to that coward act. It is a method my which you realize the Goal of your birth and after accomplishing it, You decide when the soul must depart from the Body.
The Method- As described in the Shiv Puran
In Shiva Puranam they have described about how one gets ready for Ichcha Mrityu. It goes like this, one must wake up early in the morning, do his daily prayers. Then he must sit down peacefully and first perform Pranayamam( Breath Exercise), after this he must shut both his ears with his hands over the ear folding them inwards. This must be performed continuously for an hour. Later he must sit down immediately for Dhyaan for another hour. Thus this must be performed regularly for a long period of time. Depending on the Soul Capacity of the person , He will be able to listen to the inner sounds of his body. Once he is able to hear the inner sounds of his body. He is ready to Learn the Method of Ichcha mrityu. It is not taught any anyone, but you will gain control over yourself, and this will Also make you live longer.
